Hello, my name is Rocell and I’ve been teaching for 12 years of which 10 have been in Singapore in a couple of International preschools. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and graduated from the highly-rated University for Education in the Philippines and graduated as a scholar. Reading is my form of getaway and I'm a BIG Potter fan (Fun fact: I was sorted in Ravenclaw). Also, I played Chess competitively when I was in primary school.
I am a teacher who believes that emotional engagement is the key to all-powerful learning; putting the EQ into IQ. That is why it is my goal to bring love, laughter, passion, and meaningful project work into my class. I always look for ways to personalise learning and engage the child’s imagination in purposeful ways.
I am very excited to join SAA because SAA aligns with what I truly believe in-- that old fashioned values like saying the magic words 'please' and 'thank you' is as equally important as gaining new knowledge. I will be working closely with Miss Amrit in the holidays and achieving a head start on getting to know your children. In addition, I will be arranging Google Meet sessions with you early in the term so that I can meet you (albeit virtually) and get to know you, your values and expectations as well. I look forward to being a part of the SAA family and culture and can't wait to create wonderful early learning experiences and opportunities for your children next year! Thank you.
